These snakes are the symbol of Loki and were found carved into large rune stones in Urnes, Norway. Loki's relation with the gods varies by source. Loki sometimes assists the gods and sometimes causes problems for them. Loki is a shape shifter and in separate incidents he appears in the form of a salmon, mare, seal, a fly, and possibly an elderly woman. Urnes Snakes are therefore worn for Skill & Ingenuity. Size is around: 2.5cm x 4.5cm. Crafted in Lead-Free pewter and plated with brass. Weighs around 20g and is solid pewter. This is double sided - so similar image on both sides. Supplied with a 2mm black waxed neck cord to tie yourself.
