The eagle symbolizes immortality, courage, vision and strength, but applies equally as king of the skies and messenger of the highest gods. According to ancient belief, he is looking at flying up into the sun, so he is also a metaphor for the rise in the sky and the salvation of the soul. Mythology the eagle is connected to the Germanic Odin. On a pewter base which is silver plated. Weighs 18g. Supplied with a thin neck cord (2mm) of at least 20inch to tie yourself - although I would recommend a strong thick snake chain if you have one as these pendants are more suited to them.
