The goddess Bast or Bastet was usually seen as a protective goddess with the body of a woman and the head of a cat. She was the protector of cats, women and children and would also protect royalty.

The talismans is 40mm (4cm) x 15mm (1.5cm) across, made from lead-free pewter painted gold on a black cord, mounted on an attractive backing card.
